Commercial for opening day on Lake Erie. The Jet Express!
The Jet Express is a fleet of 4 powerful ferry boats that traverse lake Erie at speeds up to
34mph with as many as 380 people aboard. The Jet Express has ports in Port Clinton, Ohio,
Sandusky, Ohio, and a special charter port in Lorain, Ohio. The main destinations of the Jet
Express are the Island village of Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island in the western basin of Lake
Erie and Kelleys island about 5 nautical miles from South Bass Island. Both islands are summer
vacation resorts and quite popular. To learn more, log onto jet-express.com.
"We hired Kevin Cable to sift through countless hours of both film and video of the Jet Express
and the islands and come up with some creative that would stand out, he came through for us as
he always does. He and I worked the projects together and Kevin brought forth 4 dynamite new
commercials that we will use for part of the 2012 season. We will be shooting new footage this
summer in HD RED. Kevin will direct and man the main lens.

North Eastern Ohio, it's cold and miserable out and the island is all but shut down for the winter. There is no way of shooting new footage for the Jet Express and they need new spots for the beginining of the 2012 season. The footage was all digitized and sent on two Lacie hard drives.
Then I got a call from the ad agency. After I had created a couple of generic spots for the new season. He asked for a spot to be in the Super Bowl. "I have a peice of music I like, what can you do with it "?
There was a mixture of footage from 35mm film, 16mm film, DV, HD and they needed something for opening day and a spot in the regional SuperBowl. The footage was all converted and corrected as much as possible and posted in Adobe CS5. After two days of searching through all the footage and listening to the music track, it was time to begin the process. The agency had a music track but no creative to go along with it and the rest was a creative process in the post room alone.
